My name is Leandro.

I created Collected Notes as a place to keep track of things I find interesting. History, books, nature, questions, ideas, and occasionally things from my own life.

I think some of my curiosity comes from my father. He is one of those people who seems to know something about almost everything. Not in a showy way, but in a way that makes you realize how much there is to learn about the world. Growing up around that definitely left an impression on me.

But curiosity is also something I naturally enjoy. I like following interesting questions, going down rabbit holes, and finding connections between things that at first seem unrelated. The more I learn, the more I realize how much I still don't know.

One thing that has become increasingly important to me is the difference between knowing and understanding. It is easy to collect facts. Understanding takes more time. History is not just dates and names. Books are not just stories. Learning is not just consuming information. The goal is to understand something a little more deeply than before.

This website is my attempt to do that.

Rather than reading something and forgetting it a week later, I try to write about it. Some ideas become essays. Others remain notes, observations, or unfinished thoughts. Not everything here will be complete, and not every question will have an answer.

The important thing is not to stop questioning. Curiosity has its own reasons for existing.
